A wedding day happens in two places
at the same time.
While you are being helped into your dress, someone else is pacing in another room. During the vows you are looking at each other, and three rows back your mother is wiping her eyes. One photographer has to choose. We do not.
One with you, one with everyone else.
Romy trained at the Fotovakschool in Amsterdam, Rolf at the film academy in the same city. Rolf photographed his first wedding in 2014 and picked it up again in 2016 together with Romy, whose own first wedding was with him. In the morning Romy is with one of you and Rolf with the other, so neither preparation has to be rescheduled around a photographer. During the ceremony one of us stands with you and the other faces the room. At the portrait session one directs and the other keeps working from a distance, so you get both the composed frame and the unguarded one. At dinner and the party, two sets of eyes catch the speech and the face of the person it is about.
And the practical side: if something goes wrong, a traffic jam, a failed card, someone falling ill halfway through, there is already a second photographer there. Your day never depends on one person.
Elsewhere this is an upgrade.
Of the Dutch wedding photographers we studied, 6% work as a pair by default. With the rest the photographer works alone, and a second is an option you pay for: a few hundred euros with one, closer to a thousand or more with another.
With us the second photographer is in every package price, and it is the two of us. If one of us falls ill, we do not send a stranger in our place: a second photographer from our own circle steps in, and you speak to them beforehand exactly as you do with us, in an introductory call and again just before the day. If even that falls through, we find a replacement and put that choice to you first. If it does not suit you, you choose: one of us photographs the day with 15% off the price, or you cancel free of charge and get everything back. That is article 4 of our terms.

What couples ask us most.
Do we get twice as many photos?
No, you get a more complete story. We select and edit one reportage together, from two points of view. Not two folders you have to reconcile yourself.
Do you get in each other’s way?
That is exactly why we only work as a pair and not with rotating freelancers. We know where the other one stands, and we do not walk through each other’s frame.
Is a second photographer overkill for a small wedding?
It depends on your day, and we will say so honestly. What tends to be underestimated: at a small wedding the reactions of your guests are a large part of the story, and those happen at the same moment as the moments themselves.
Can we book just one of you?
No. Working as a pair is how we photograph and how our packages are built. If that does not suit your day, we will say so in the first conversation.
