We are Romy van Leeuwen and Rolf Kühr, a Dutch couple who photograph weddings together. Not one photographer with an assistant, and not a second shooter you pay extra for: both of us, all day, in every package. We work across the Netherlands and speak English throughout, from the first email to the last dance.
You will not have to explain twice.
Plenty of couples marry in the Netherlands without living here. Their families fly in, the ceremony is in English, and half the suppliers speak Dutch to each other while you try to follow along. We keep that from happening on our side: we brief in English, we talk to the venue in Dutch so you do not have to, and we tell you plainly what is normal here and what is not.
Rolf grew up in Italy, studied at the film academy in Amsterdam and speaks Italian, Dutch and English. Romy studied at the Fotovakschool in the same city and has photographed weddings since 2016; her work has appeared in the Dutch magazines vtwonen and Flair, and she spent two years photographing well-known Dutch faces in a studio in Haarlem. Between us there is very little we have not seen go slightly differently than planned.
The whole country, and past the border.
We are based in Uitgeest, half an hour north of Amsterdam, and we photograph weddings across the Netherlands: the coast and the dunes of Kennemerland, the castles and country estates of Noord-Holland, the canal houses of Amsterdam, and anywhere else the day happens to be.
We have photographed in Belgium as well, and we travel further on request. Italy has a page of its own, because Rolf grew up there. Tell us where you are getting married and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right people for it.

The things you actually asked.
What you get
Six, eight or ten hours with both of us. At least 300, 450 or 600 finished images depending on the package, a first preview within three days, and the full gallery within eight to ten weeks. Every image at full resolution with print rights, plus a lighter version for the web, and drone footage when the weather, the venue and the rules allow. The gallery stays online six months with Basis and a year with Favoriet and Luxe, and for up to two years after delivery we will send the images again on request. Those numbers are minimums, not maximums: you get everything worth keeping, and there is no print sales pitch afterwards.
Language and paperwork
Everything on our side runs in English. The legal side of marrying in the Netherlands runs through the municipality where you marry, not through us, but we have seen it often enough to point you in the right direction and to keep the timeline realistic.
Travel
Travel within the Netherlands is included up to 20 km one way from Uitgeest; beyond that we charge € 0.39 per kilometre, calculated in advance and written into the proposal. Getting married in Italy? The same packages apply, with two return flights and one hotel room added, since the two of us share one. A second room is only added if a different second photographer travels with us. For other countries we work the travel out with you in advance and put it in the proposal.
Booking
A deposit of € 500 secures your date. The final invoice goes out at the latest a week before the wedding and is paid at the latest on the day itself. Everything else is in our terms, which we send as a PDF with the proposal.
